Three passengers were medically evacuated from the cruise ship at the the center of a deadly hantavirus outbreak Wednesday, while a local leader opposed allowing the stricken vessel to dock in Spain.
As a new case was identified in Switzerland, authorities confirmed the outbreak involved the Andes strain, which can be spread among people.
A man who had traveled on the Hondius was being treated for hantavirus in the Swiss city of Zurich, the Swiss government said in a statement Wednesday. There was no threat to the wider population, it added.

Hey, this is one of the first articles I have seen that mentions we already knew that a South American strain of hantavirus could spread human to human.
We learned fuck all from COVID-19. We actually got dumber.
At 35% mortality rate, it’s exceedingly unlikely to cause a pandemic. Still sucks for everyone affected, of course
2-8 week incubation period, so no. Totally feasible and terrifying.

It’s probably what you mean but to be precise it depends on the intervall of being infectious until death (or rather until first symptoms)
